Supervisory Budget Analyst
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Budget Analyst at Willamette Valley Projects which consists of 13 multipurpose projects with Hydro-electric, flood damage control, recreation, environmental stewardship and fish and wildlife business lines.
- Analyze trends and developments in the project budget execution and develop recommendations concerning the operations of the project mission, including funding priorities, and workload management.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all matters concerning funding and funds control for relevant portions of the above mentioned appropriations.
- Negotiate with Project Managers within NWP and those activities providing funding through Customer Orders for allocation of funds that have immediate and projected impacts on executing Operation Division's mission.
- Provide assistance and guidance for consolidation, evaluation and input of the Project's annual Operating Budget into CEFMS.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Monitoring budget information in a financial management system; 2) Compiling budget data for use in financial reports; and 3) Reviewing available funds to compare against outstanding obligations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Finance. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
