Light Maintenance Worker
This position will require working 1.5-3.5 hours a week at Joint Base Cape Cod. Transportation is the responsibility of the employee. The associate will be responsible for light cleaning duties and must be able to be on their feet for the length of the shift. Cleaning duties may include dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, washing windows, and cleaning bathrooms, dry mopping and wet mopping floors. The applicant must have the ability to work semi-independently and seek out their supervisor for instructions. Applicant must work well with others and interact appropriately with military personnel.
· Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds, and stand/walk/climb stairs for a 3.5 hours shift
· Ability to complete job duties that may include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, emptying trash, washing windows, cleaning sinks and toilets, and other duties as assigned
· Ability to safely use cleaning supplies and equipment
· Be respectful to military personnel, supervisor, and co-workers
· Ability to follow directions
· Flexibility to accommodate changes in tasks and schedule
· Must be able to pass a background check
· Must have reliable transportation to and from Joint Base Cape Cod
Working Conditions:
· Office environment, barracks building including sleeping quarters, hallways and common areas
· Use of cleaning chemicals and supplies
· Usually moderate noise level
Work Hours:
· 2.5-hour shift and 3 hours shift. Shift begins at 7:30AM
